
How long have you trained in HKD? Since September 2009 Who or what has been your greatest influence? With respect to Martial Arts, I am influenced by others in their thirties and older, giving it their all in class, proving something to themselves and to their others. That inspires me to want to be the best I can be. What is your favourite TV show? I'm a bit of an HBO Junkie, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy and Dexter in that order. What is your life-long goal? To continue to find more joy in life, to travel more, learn to sail. To do the things that I have not done enough of in my youth. What is your greatest fear? Being in confined spaces, I watched an episode of " Dirty Jobs" once where the guy had to crawl underneath a house, very tight spot, could not bear watching that. Which living person do you most admire? My Father, he was an immigrant from Italy, came to Canada with nothing but the desire to work and eventually found success in the construction/ property management business. What is your greatest extravagance? I'm a pretty simple guy, On occasion I indulge with Sushi or head to Seoul House on Macleod Trail for Korean BBQ. Who is your favourite hero, dead or alive? Hmm, that's a tough one, there are so many out there. Anyone who has ever served their country in war is a hero to me. What is one thing you have learned through HKD? To be the best you can be at the moment and for the future. That its never to late to learn something new. What do like the most about HKD? That I am pushed with each class, the respect everyone has for each other. We are all working together to better each other. What is your favourite technique in HKD? We had a few classes on some ground techniques what I really enjoyed. They are advanced and the names escape me, but I did find them to be very neat. What is your life's motto? To always seek out happiness, to keep improving as a person, to keep an open mind, and to help others. |
