A belt test is scheduled for students at the end of every semester, usually during the last week of scheduled classes. Students will be assessed and ultimately invited to test after demonstrating proper techniques, commitment, and attitude during regular class time. Your attendance is also important. Plan to attend at least two classes each week in order to develop your skills.
Belt tests for children and youth programs are scheduled in April. A make-up test is also available in August for students who cannot attend the Spring test.
Students who are identified as ready to test will be notified through written invitation approximately two weeks prior to the test date.
Testing is the result of your hard work and a chance to show off your skills and knowledge. Train hard and always give your best effort.
